Peacock Ring

 A cornflower blue Sri Lanka sapphire is the feature stone of this ring, subtly complimented by a white topaz and silver accents. The ring has been hand cast using the very ancient technique of cuttlefish casting, a technique where molten metal is poured into a cuttlebone. The piece is textured all over with the cuttle imprint along with more textures created using a variety of studio tools. The band has been shaped on the sides to fit snugly between the fingers and is hand scribed with a Peacock feather.  Oxidation has been used to give that final extra definition to the texturing.
